What type of puzzle should I order?
Budget Saver Puzzles make a great gift at a
minimal cost. These are the easiest puzzles to solve. Larger pieces and smaller
piece counts make these puzzles more suited for older children and some seniors.
Larger grid cut Challenger Puzzles are more
challenging than Budget Savers because of smaller piece size and higher piece count.

very challenging to solve, but they also offer the greatest opportunity to personalize
your gift. The edge pieces are usually the only pieces that tightly interlock, while
the semi interlocking center pieces prove to be more troublesome. This means that
two adjacent center pieces may not appear to interlock with each other until a third

Puzzle Difficulty:
Increasing a puzzle's difficulty can be acheived in a number of ways. Piece density,
or the number of pieces per inch, is the most common way to increase a jigsaw puzzle's
level of difficulty. Puzzles with a smaller number of pieces are generally easier
to solve than the same size puzzle utilizing twice the number of pieces. umber of

Puzzles may also employ an irregular edge style to increase difficulty. An irregular
edge follows the outline of a well defined section of the image, therby eliminating
the corner pieces and straight edge pieces which most puzzlers start with during
assembly.
The image that you select has a large effect on the puzzle's difficulty. Images
with small random patterns, such as a field of flowers, would be more difficult
to solve than an image of a single flower.
Sometimes the editing of the image itself can increase of puzzles difficulty. Simply
printing an image in black and white or sepia will prevent of puzzler from recognizing
a color pattern that would aid during assembly.
